Since we can't prove our origins scientifically, you do need to have faith in something... but you don't have to check your brain at the door.

It does not, and should not however, have to be a blind faith.
The God that created us gave us the curiosity to want to know how He did it. I also believe that He wants us to harness that information to help enrich our existence here. Many of the world's greatest advances have come through scientists with a theistic background. Science is not anti-faith. In fact, current advances make science a major faith builder.
