Many people feel that something big is coming. There are many theories on what that might be: Some New Age folks are proclaiming that a ‘vibrational shift’ is at hand. The more hard-core UFO aficionados will tell you that the Galactic Federation is coming shortly to remove the people ‘holding us back’ from ascending to our true selves. Mystery 'drones' are shutting down airports. The 3I-Atlas 'comet' is getting stranger by the minute. Those conspiracy theorists have been warning us about the Global Elite and our soon-to-be loss of freedoms. (Agenda 2030: You will own nothing, and you’ll be happy. Check out the World Economic Forum website for more exciting details.) Even the average man on the street wonders how things can continue as they are, as he ponders corruption in government, climate alarms, our rising debt, shrinking employment and increasing civil unrest.
I would ask you to give an unbiased consideration of the following explanation:
I think that Jesus is returning soon, quite possibly late September/early October this year.
Originally we all thought September 23rd / 24th, but we overlooked one key verse: Leviticus 25:9, which speaks of the trumpet on the 10th day of the 7th month, on a Jubilee year. This is a Jubilee year, so if the interpretation is correct, potentially the morning of October 2nd, 2025 would be the deadline. (Depending on when they actually sighted the sliver of the moon in Israel, it might also be the 3rd.) Again, we do not 'know', no one is claiming to be a prophet. We are just watching the signs and trying to match them to Biblical prophecy.
If you are a non-believer and about to click away, I urge you to go to the bottom of this page and check out the links there. DO NOT accept your current paradigm uncritically. Jesus was a real, historical person who made some very bold claims. People that had direct experience regarding His death and resurrection willingly died for those facts. Think for yourself and make very sure that you apply logic to your decision. It is imperative (and possibly quite urgent), that you fully understand what you are saying 'No' to.
As for the followers of Jesus Christ (and I will use that term instead of Christian because the word Christian has all but lost its meaning in the present day), do you fully trust in the Bible as God’s infallible word to man? Do you understand that everything that has been prophesied to this date has come true precisely? Two thousand of the twenty-five hundred prophecies in the Bible have already come to pass. (Please check this out for yourself: Reasons.org is one source, but there are plenty of other resources online.) Realize that the odds against any of these coming true are huge, but when you combine even a few of them, the odds against are simply astronomical. Are you willing to take that perfect track record and apply it to the next five hundred predictions? Would it not be logical to fully expect that God will continue to do what He said He would do?
If so, you know that according to the Bible (that source that has been continually verified by observational science, history and archaeology), Jesus (yes, the historical, actual, real Jesus), is returning soon. A plain literal reading of the Bible says He is coming back to rule and reign on earth, on the throne of David, for a full thousand years. (Isaiah 9:6-7, Luke 1:32, Revelation 20:2-7 In Revelation, the thousand years are repeated in each verse for emphasis, leaving little room for allegory.)
That’s good news, right? Finally, a government you can trust! When is this going to happen, you ask? Well, if we apply scripture to interpret scripture, it could well be in 2032 (less likely, in 2033). If we apply the creation week to history, using the ‘day is as a thousand years and a thousand years is as a day’, this earthly existence would appear to have a seven thousand year expiration date.
Secular historians acknowledge that Jesus was crucified between 29 AD and 33 AD. Bible prophecy points to 32 AD exactly. With this creation week symbology in mind, it seems logical that His second coming would be in 2032 (possibly, but less likely, 2033). (It cannot be earlier, as we need to subtract the seven year tribulation, to account for Daniel's 70th week.)
This would appear to indicate that the Rapture or Harpazo could well be in 2025, (with 2026 as an outlier).
If the creation week symbology is not critical to our understanding, why does 2 Peter 3:8 exhort us to 'be not ignorant of this one thing'? What is so crucial about this 'one thing'? Also compelling is Psalm 90:4, which further refers to it 'as a watch in the night'?
The fact is that, up until the two Charlies (Lyell and Darwin), offered their theories, it was understood and accepted that the creation week modelled our temporal six thousand year past and our coming one thousand year taste of eternity.
We lose clarity when we try to elevate man's 'wisdom' above the Bible. These are theories, not fact. These theories do not explain why newly formed rock from the 1980 Mount St. Helens eruption has been scientifically (potassium-argon), dated as between 340,000 and 2.8 million years old, or why we are finding intact (still stretchy), tissue and blood vessels in dinosaur bones... creatures that are supposedly millions of years extinct.
If you are hung up on light-years as your issue, may I gently remind you that God created the universe mature. Adam was not an infant. Plants did not start as seeds. (Spoiler alert: The chicken came first!) Light was created on Day One, mature. The sun, moon and stars? Day Four. I believe He did it in that order (and that far apart), to tell us something about the nature of light.
While you are free to allegorize and explain away God's creation account as just a story, you are still left looking at the reality we face today and where we appear to find ourselves on the prophetic timetable.
Before we get into that, lets talk about why we are watching. Many people disagree with this, their argument being that that watching leads to date-setting, and that date-setting leads to disappointment if our expectations are not met. First and foremost, it must be stated that we are not date-setting, we are date-watching. God, and God only, sets the dates.
Is it scriptural to watch God’s appointed times and match them up with the signs of Jesus’ appearing? I’ll let you decide:
Mat 24:42 - Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come.
Mat 25:13 - Watch therefore, for ye know neither the day nor the hour wherein the Son of man cometh.
Mar 13:33 - Take ye heed, watch and pray: for ye know not when the time is.
Luk 21:36 - Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man.
1Th 5:6 - Therefore let us not sleep, as do others; but let us watch and be sober.
1Pet 4:7 - But the end of all things is at hand: be ye therefore sober, and watch unto prayer.
Rev 3:3 - Remember therefore how thou hast received and heard, and hold fast, and repent. If therefore thou shalt not watch, I will come on thee as a thief, and thou shalt not know what hour I will come upon thee.
There are other references urging us to watch, the above are just a few specifically regarding His appearing and the soon-to-be seven year tribulation period that immediately precedes the 2nd coming.
Let’s apply logic: If there is nothing to see, why would we be repeatedly commanded to watch?
So what is the current obsession with ‘No man knows the day or the hour’? That is literally the first thing most Christians will say as soon as you bring any of this up. We need to do a little homework here. In the original language 'eido' refers to experiential knowledge, rather than prophetic, as in this has never happened before. No man can 'know' what it will be like. Rev 3:3 (quoted above), directly implies that IF we watch we WILL know what hour He will come. The original word used in that verse is 'ginosko', meaning 'to learn to know', 'come to know', 'get a knowledge of' or 'perceive'.
Matt 25:13 (quoted above), references the parable of the ten virgins and (significantly), also contains the directive to watch. This is Galilean wedding typology, used extensively regarding Jesus and His bride. (That’s us, if we have accepted His proposal.) Rosh Hashanah is known as ‘the preparation of the bride’ and is the only appointed time that is on a new moon, making it necessary to have 'watchers' to proclaim the day. Jewish days start in the evening at sundown. For this day, the watchers would look to see the first sign of the sliver of the new moon which, depending on weather conditions, may have been difficult to determine. Since that first sliver signified the start of Rosh Hashanah, no one knew the day exactly. Was Jesus giving us a clue there? Unfortunately, Israel chooses to not follow this Biblical prescription and instead picks the day in advance, using man's wisdom. This might lead to confusion (and maybe despair), if their appointed days do not match those of God.
The fact that Rosh Hashanah has now come and gone has caused a great deal of confusion in the body of Christ and has given rise to a terrible autoimmune condition where the body is attacking itself. Do not participate in this 'sheep on sheep' violence. It is okay to get excited about our Lord's return. It is also okay to be wrong. Very few watchers ever said, 'Thus saith the Lord'. No one told anyone to sell their house or quit their job. Almost all watchers are just humbly suggesting that we should not ignore the signs and that everything seems to be lining up. It is a call to repentance and an appeal to urgency in what very likely could be our last days.
Yes, our faith is in Jesus Christ alone and not in any particular date. However, I do not believe that we are called to be end-times ‘ostriches’, immediately sticking our heads in the prophetic sand whenever we see things converging. We are expected to know the season. We are told that we are not in darkness in this matter. Refresh your memory and read 1 Thess 5:1-11... If you know the Lord, you are not in the dark, you are the children of light!
Jesus expects us to pay attention. When He was coming into the city on a donkey, descending down the Mount of Olives, Jesus wept (Luke 19:41). Why? The religious authorities did not recognize their Messiah. Prophecy was given in the Old Testament (Daniel 9:25 and Nehemiah 2:1), that the Messiah would enter the city that year and month. (Down to the day, if they were really diligent!)
So, what was their failure? Why was Jesus so sad and then so angry? The answer is given in Luke 19:44. They were not watching for that prophetic date. If they had, they would have known who it was, on that donkey, on that day.
Notice that Jesus held them accountable for that. He told them their temple would be destroyed because of their failure. Then, He went and flipped some tables to make his point. ‘Gentle’ Jesus got righteously angry that day.
Accordingly, when scripture and events appear to line up, why not top off your oil and get excited? (Matthew 25:1-13) Try to imagine this from Jesus’ perspective. How would you feel about a bride that is completely apathetic about the date of your wedding?
What is the downside? If it turns out to be a false alarm on her part, no true bride is going to turn away from her beloved. She would laugh off her misunderstanding and resume in her happy anticipation of that blessed day. She would have to be pretty (dare I say), ‘lukewarm’ towards him if she lost faith in her bridegroom because of her own error regarding the date of his coming.
As the bride of Christ, we need to understand the Galilean wedding typology. The disciples, being from Galilee themselves, would have comprehended this analogy perfectly. (If you are not familiar, check out the documentary / movie "Before the Wrath", as an excellent, full explanation of this typology.)
Now that we have laid the groundwork for why it might just be appropriate for you to get excited (without having this be a make-or-break faith issue), let’s look at some more fun facts:
- As prophesied and yet against all odds, Israel became a nation again in 1948. Israel is 77 years old now and will turn 84 in 2032. (Bonus fun fact, the official expected lifespan for a citizen of Israel, in 2032? 83.7753 years old... according to Database Earth.) Jesus said that the generation that witnessed the regathering of this nation would not pass away before the end comes (Matthew 24:34, Mark 13:30, Luke 21:32). God defines a generation in Psalm 90:10, which makes an interesting reference to fourscore years and flying away. Considering the Israel remnant is 'given two wings of a great eagle, that she might fly into the wilderness' (Revelation 12:14), for safety half-way though the Tribulation, during their 80th year, it makes that particular verse quite provocative. Also, as referenced below, September will mark the 80th UN General Assembly this year... and can you guess what part of the agenda will be, on these coincidental dates? Splitting up the land of Israel.
- Looking ahead, this year also lines up best with the Jewish feasts and the day counts given in the Bible for the timing of the events in the Tribulation.
We are told that there will be 1290 days (Daniel 12:11), and then the abomination of desolation will occur. We are then told that there will be 1260 days (Revelation 12:6, Revelation 12:14, Revelation 13:5, Daniel 7:25, Daniel 12:7), and Jesus will return, with His church, to the earth. Daniel then goes on to say 'Blessed is he that waiteth, and cometh to the thousand three hundred and five and thirty days' in Daniel 12:12
Considering coming events and dates, look up the following events on the Jewish calendar to see their prophetic typology. All of the Old Testament points to Jesus. These ‘Feasts’ are actually referred to as ‘The Moedim’, or ‘Seven Appointed Times’. These are God’s appointed days. To this stage in history, He has honoured his timetable. Significant events consistently happen on these appointed times. Yes, God is sovereign and the rapture could happen at any time. However, prophecy is pattern. As a God of order, as a God who reveals the ‘end from the beginning’, why would He break His pattern now?
It is also important that we understand that these appointments are not just for the Jewish people, these are for all mankind. Remember Jesus died as the Passover lamb, on Passover, for the whole world, not just the Jews. Jesus went in to the grave on the Feast of Unleavened Bread. He gave us the Holy Spirit on Pentecost. Jesus rose from the grave on the Feast of First Fruits. God does important things on His appointed days.
Leviticus 23:5 - Passover - Fulfilled in the Cruxifixion
Leviticus 23:6-8- Unleavened Bread - Fulfilled in Christ's burial
Leviticus 23:9-14 - First Fruits - Fulfilled in Jesus' resurrection
Leviticus 23:15-22 - Pentecost - The Church Age (still ongoing)
Leviticus 23:23-25 - Trumpets - The Rapture or Harpazo (coming soon?)
Leviticus 23:26-32 - Day of Atonement - The Second Coming of Jesus Christ
Leviticus 23:33-43 - Tabernacles - The Kingdom Age and Eternity Future
If we start with Trumpets this year, 2025, look how well the ‘appointed times’ align. If you try to start this in 2026, the dates do not work. If prophecy is pattern, this could be a very good indication that we are coming seriously close to being 'caught up'.
September 2025:
The Feast of Trumpets, also known as Rosh Hashanah or Yom Teruah: Rosh Hashanah marks the beginning of the civil year and is the traditional anniversary of the creation of Adam and Eve. One of the customs include blowing the shofar, or trumpet, traditionally one hundred times on that day. Most watchmen (including myself), thought this might have been when the Rapture would occur. With all the external indications and prophetic signs aligning to point in that direction, we were waiting for the 'last trump', that final trumpet blast. It seemed like the beginning of the end.
What I never considered at the time was that Rosh Hashanah is part of the 'Ten days of Awe', which culminate on Yom Kippur. These ten days are a call to repentance, a call to 'get right with God', before the books are sealed at the end of Yom Kippur. At the end of Yom Kippur (the Day of Atonement), on the jubilee year, the shofar was also to be blown. (Leviticus 25:9) In 1 Corinthians 15:52, we are told “at the last trump, for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed”. 2025 is a jublilee year. Could this actually be the Rapture signal, as it will be the 'last trump' of the Days of Awe?
I cannot help but think about the parable of the 10 virgins and one important detail: The bridegroom tarried. He was later than expected. There was prophesied to be a 'falling away' and much 'mocking and scoffing' in the final days. We will see, if this does turn out to be the rapture, it’s a bittersweet time for the world. It’s good news for the ‘bride of Christ’ as Jesus appears in the clouds to claim her, but not such good news for unbelieving Israel and the rest of the world, who now face ‘Jacob’s trouble’, aka the Tribulation.
(There are those that have brought up the difference in the Julian and the Gregorian calendars. Their contention is that Feast of Trumpets was celebrated too early. Time will tell. With any type of potential misunderstanding, I personally would sooner give warning regarding the earlier date, rather than possibly falsely assuring people that they have extra time to repent.)
1290 days later:
March 30 to April 7, 2029: Passover: The mid-point of the Tribulation will fall during Passover and this could be when the Antichrist claims to be god within the rebuilt Jewish Temple. (This is the “abomination of desolation” referenced in Matthew 24:15 and Mark 13:14.)
1260 days later:
September 14-16, 2032: Day of Atonement: The 2nd Coming of Jesus at the end of the 7 year Tribulation could be on the Day of Atonement (Yom Kippur).
1335 days after Passover:
November 27 - December 5, 2032: Hanukah: This Biblical 'feast of dedication' could be when the new Millennial Temple in Jerusalem is dedicated after the 2nd Coming.
Why now? Why this year as opposed to any other? After all, people have been predicting the rapture for a long time, and they have been wrong, every time. We need to remember that, not only do the dates fit this year, but all of the other requirements have finally been met. We are at a stage in history where we are not waiting for anything else to happen first.
- On September 23, 2017, a once-in-history celestial alignment appeared in the sky - exactly matching Revelation 12:1-2. Feast of Trumpets this year marks eight years later. (In biblical numerology, eight represents new beginnings.)
- World leaders are meeting (during the Feast of Trumpets and the Days of Awe), under the theme “Peace and Security.” 1 Thessalonians 5:3: “When they say ‘Peace and Security,’ then sudden destruction comes upon them”. The United Nations has declared 2025 the 'International Year of Peace and Trust'. Part of the agenda of this meeting is splitting up the land that God gave to Israel. Trump and Netanyahu just announced the deal for a treaty in the Middle East. This will be overseen by a new international oversight body called the 'Board of Peace', headed by Trump. This agreement could well be, or be the basis for, the 'covenant with many' prophesied in Daniel 9:27.
- If you have been paying any attention to the news, the geopolitical climate is ripe for the end times. Israel is falling under condemnation from most countries. Antisemitism is the highest it has been for many years, and it seems to be getting worse by the day. Also, political alliances that the Bible predicted thousands of years ago have formed. (Think Iran, Russia, Turkey for starters...)
- For the first time in almost two thousand years, the shofar was officially blown, by the Temple Institute, on the temple mount, on the first day of Elul. Also, for the first time in two millennia, a red heifer ceremony was completed this July. It was performed to Biblical specifications, but was officially deemed a ‘test run’. (Not surprising, since October 7, 2023 was the reaction to the possibility of this occurring.) The red heifer ceremony is necessary for the cleansing of the soon-to-be rebuilt temple.
- This third temple has to be rebuilt in Jerusalem in order for the ‘abomination of desolation’ to take place, mid tribulation. Again, for the first time in two thousand years, they are putting up road signs for the new temple in Jerusalem and blocks are being cut for the building. Apparently, it can be built quite quickly, and they have three and a half years (at least), to complete the task.
- After years of excavation, the Pilgrimage Road in Jerusalem was unveiled last week. People are now able to walk on the actual stones that Jesus and His disciples would have walked on... two thousand years ago. (Not to mention countless pilgrims long before that!) This historic site, the last six hundred metres from the Pool of Siloam to the foot of the Temple Mount, has been restored and will soon be available for the public.
- Mark of the beast? Everyone has heard about 666, the mark, the number of the beast’s name. Remember back when the bar code supposedly heralded the mark? Debit cards? Remember when we figured out that if we assigned each letter a multiple of 6: A=6 and B=12, etc, that the word 'computer' equalled six hundred and sixty-six? (It was true, but we didn't understand the significance.) We knew that the Antichrist would somehow pull this off, but we could not quite see a mechanism for how one single authority could control all buying and selling on the planet. Now, for the first time in two thousand years, we have a clear and obvious path to that future. We are witnessing a global push for AI, digital currency and a digital ID. (Britian just introduced a mandatory digital ID this week.) We also have internet access all over the planet, thanks to Elon’s satellites. (Elon also announced a major cell frequency bandwidth purchase a few days ago. He stated that Starlink and SpaceX are planning for direct connection to cellphones in less than two years, enabling global high-bandwidth connectivity without requiring regional carriers.) Bill Gates recently pronounced that smart phones themselves will soon be obsolete, and that they will be replaced by ‘electronic tattoos’ for direct connection without the need for a handheld device.
Remember, even if we left tomorrow, they still have three and a half years to set up the MotB system. At the current speed of technological advancement, that would just be a digitally enhanced walk in the park.
- How about the ‘image of the beast’? We now easily see how he has power to ‘give life unto the image of the beast’ (Revelation 13:15), using AI. Very few people seem to appreciate the huge significance of artificial intelligence and the totality of what it means for humanity. We are warned repeatedly that ‘deception’ is the hallmark of the last days. We have arrived at a point in history where deception can be seamless and virtually impossible to detect. Even today, seeing is no longer believing, just imagine what can be done after they have more than three and a half years to further perfect the technology.
Even now, people are deferring to AI for knowledge. (Christians are even using it to help parse God's word.) Just imagine how much more credibility AI will have when it reaches AGI (Artificial General Intelligence), said to be reached soon. Not long after that, we are told to expect ASI (Artificial Super Intelligence), where the system becomes superior to man. Already considered an oracle by many, AI will be the authoritative source for information. Man's wisdom will 'replace' God's wisdom.
- Apophis Asteroid – Friday, April 13, 2029, the Apophis asteroid passes(?) Earth. Could this actually be the “Wormwood” event of Revelation 8:8-11? Apophis arrives just after the midpoint of the tribulation period. The United Nations has declared 2029 as the 'International Year of Asteroid Awareness and Planetary Defense'.
- Again, watch as the world turn its back on Israel. As mentioned, anti-Israel sentiment (sometimes even involving direct antisemitism), is on the rise in almost all countries today. This will continue to increase as the ‘truth tellers’ will expose the lies we have been told. This so-called ‘disclosure’ has already started and more is forecast. People will believe that they are overthrowing the old corrupt order by aligning against the Jews and Israel. In their zeal to find a scapegoat (another Yom Kippur reference), for this sin-driven world system, they will conflate the actions of a handful of very evil and influential people with an entire nation. This will be a massive mistake.
Yes, Israel was returned as a nation in unbelief, but God is not done with them. He made a promise, not because of them, but because this promise kept is a witness of His character to all of us. Israel will be the focal point of God’s work through the tribulation. It is literally the time of ‘Jacob’s trouble’. After that seven years, the Bible says that Jesus will rule and reign the world, from the throne of David, for a full one thousand years.
Do not write off Israel. There is a reason this nation has succeeded, against all odds and through some very miraculous circumstances. Are they perfect? No. There is a reason God put Abram to sleep and walked through the covenant alone (Gen 15:12-18). The promise was made unilaterally, for His glory. Are you also much less than perfect, and will you also fail? Obviously, and yet God will keep His promise to you as well. That is why the blood of Jesus is applied to your future sins as well, not just those in the past.
So what is the point to all this? Should we plan our lives around it? Obviously, I personally think that even though we can not know, we should watch. God gave us the ultimate puzzle. Are we just going to leave it on the shelf, unopened? Are we not even the tiniest bit interested in piecing it together?
I believe that it is not only okay, but good and healthy for us to get excited to see our Lord and Saviour face to face. His glorious appearing is our ‘blessed hope’ (Titus 2:13), so the prospect should fill us with joy! I believe it should also fire us up, convicting us to share the Gospel and to redeem the time.
Sure, there is a chance that this doesn't happen in the next few days. However, for the first time in two thousand years...
... there is no reason, Biblically speaking, to assume that.
... there is no reason, geopolitically speaking, to assume that.
... there is no reason, technologically speaking, to assume that.
If you are a follower of Christ, why not get excited!? It may not be this week, but one day soon we WILL see the Lord! Regardless of what you make of this current convergence, I believe we should live every week like it is our last. Not one of us knows the amount of time that we have here on earth. Each day is a gift from God, so appreciate the present!
Conversely, if you are reading this and you have not put your trust in Jesus Christ, it’s not too late! You can begin that relationship at any time by reaching out to Him in prayer. Start by clicking on one of the links below and follow the logic trail of why Jesus is who He says He is.
If you are committed to waiting it out to see what happens first, please understand that the coming seven years will not be a walk in the park. The world has never seen destruction like this. The days ahead will be very difficult. If you survive long enough, remember that you can still turn to Jesus. However, it is critically important that you do not take the mark, whatever digital form it takes. Once you agree to the terms and conditions of that device, there is no turning back.
